Real Premiere Couture VIP Bride: Colleen

So excited to share our beautiful bride Colleen and her husband Garrett's gorgeous wedding day! You need to check out their lovely wedding photos and hear their love story💕

I love how their love story began in such an epic way, hiking through a snowstorm! I may be a little biased, but I also love how walking near Lake Superior became such a meaningful and cherished memory in their love story. My (Marlie here) husband and I also love Lake Superior and have lots of cherished memories by the great lake as well as walking near Lake Michigan often while dating, so it's extra fun to share that in common😊

Check out their love story, her advice to other brides, and their stunning wedding photos!! :

Tell us about your love story!

"We met while I was living in Duluth for physical therapy school. Our first date was walking six miles through a snow storm in January in Duluth! It was the height of the pandemic so we had to be creative when coming up with dates.  Lots of facetiming and outdoor dates. One of our favorite places was along the Lake Walk right on Lake Superior dubbed "our spot". We spent a lot of time there making a lot of memories, talking laughing and just getting to know each other. He proposed at "our spot" in July of 2022."

Where did you get married?

"We got married at my home parish- St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Waunakee, WI and our reception was at the Monona Terrace in Madison"

What is one thing you wish you knew when planning your wedding?

"One thing I wish I had known was to remember that my husband and I were the Guests of Honor and to make sure we delegate tasks to people. We were so blessed to have so many people who were willing to help us with the wedding and make it an amazing day!"

What advice would you give brides?

"A piece of advice I would give is to be present. Take time throughout the day, even 30 seconds at a time, to just take everything in and make a point to remember certain aspects of your wedding. Like watching everyone talk and enjoy dinner or watching your family dancing together. I made sure I did that and they are memories I will never forget."

What was your experience like at Premiere Couture?

"I had a great time at Premiere Couture. They made me feel so special! I tried on 6 dresses and ended up choosing dress number 4. I can't remember who it was who helped me, but she was able to find dresses that fit what I was envisioning and also find something that fit my style best."

What was your favorite moment of your wedding?

"My favorite moment of my wedding was when my husband and I were announced as married for the first time after the wedding ceremony. We had been through a lot leading up to that moment and to have it finally come to fruition felt so good. I was and am so excited for our life together."

Any vendors you'd love to share:
